It is Thursday, June 7, 2007. Pat and I are on Meridiana Airlines flight that is taking us from Paris where we have just finished a bicycle tour of Normandy and Brittany. We will spend four days in Palermo and then join a bicycle tour of Sicily.
We arrive in Palermo and hike the city. Four days later our bike trip starts from here. Our next hotel is Villa Dafne south and east of Palermo in farm country, our third is on one of the Aeolian Islands above the east side of Sicily and our final hotel is on the east side near Mount Etna. There was more sun in Sicily than in Normandy so we took more pictures; they are organized by the four places we stayed:
