• Old enough that your eyes have stopped growing, usually 18 to 21
• In sufficiently good health and young enough that the healing process is predictable, usually younger than 60
• Stable vision with no major changes in the last 18 months
• Committed enough to tolerate minor discomfort for a few days and possible annoying side-effects such as star-bursts at night or variations in vision from morning-to-night for a few days or a few months
• Realistic about your expectations for the results
